Quick answer

Materials come from gathering and combat loops, while consumables are tied to crafting, recovery, travel, and utility systems.

Materials and consumables connect Soul's Remnant's gathering, crafting, monster, dungeon, and economy systems. Steam confirms a full crafting and gathering system with 700+ crafting recipes, while the community wiki describes herbs, ores, wood, and resources being used for crafting or sold on an open market.

This page is a category overview. It avoids exact recipe costs or drop rates unless a future page checks the recipe or item directly.

Material Sources

SourceMaterials or resourcesNotes
PlantsHerbs, seeds, and related plant dropsCommunity wiki describes plants as gathered from world sites.
TreesWood, saplings, and related tree dropsWood is officially listed as obtained from various trees with Herbalism.
Ore depositsOre plus crystals or stone depending on ore typeThe wiki distinguishes ore deposit rewards from monster drops.
MonstersSoul Crystals, monster-associated essence and materials such as RubbleCheck the individual monster or item page before trusting a drop rate.
Dungeons and bossesRecipes, essences, and special rewardsCrafting recipes can drop from monsters, especially bosses and dungeons.

Need ore rather than a category overview? Follow the Soul's Remnant Mining guide to unlock Mining, find ore veins and plan a short gathering route. Wood comes from the tree or gathering loop, not ore deposits; use the Wood guide and World Map resource list to find the exact material name you need.

Mystery Tickets belong in the Misc inventory tab rather than the normal material loop. See how to get and redeem Mystery Tickets instead of treating them as dungeon essence or a selectable gem exchange. If the target is a high-risk upgrade item, read the Calamity Gem page before spending it.

Database Expansion Rules

For individual materials and consumables, track:

  • exact item name;
  • source route;
  • recipe or use case;
  • whether it is consumed on use;
  • whether the item can be sold, crafted, or traded;
  • source page and verification date.

Do not infer recipe costs from similar items. The crafting system is broad and patch-sensitive, and recipe tables should be copied into item pages only after checking the current item source.
